Books

I am a keen reader. Books inspire me in all sorts of ways – the ideas, the techniques, the passion of the artists, the shapes and colours, the sheer inventiveness.  Sometimes I think that if the knowledge is in a book on my shelf then I don’t have to waste brain space containing the same stuff. But some sticks! These are all books that I have collected over the years that are relevant in some way to my ceramics practice. Some I look at regularly, some I return to for specific references, some I look at just because I like the pictures! After all, we make ceramics so we and other people will look at them. What they do with the looking is a whole other MA.

I get books for birthday and Christmas presents and on impulse. Amazon loves me!
